👀 HIDE IT – Never leave valuables on display. Bags, sat navs, and even loose change can attract thieves.

🌃 LIGHT IT – Park in well-lit, busy areas whenever possible.

📸 REPORT IT – If you see suspicious activity, report it immediately via 101 or online.

📹 How to Use Ring Doorbell Footage to Support Police

  • Review Your Footage
    Check your Ring recordings for any suspicious activity near vehicles—especially during the time of reported incidents.

  • Save Relevant Clips
    Download and securely save any footage showing:

    • Individuals loitering near vehicles.

    • Attempts to open car doors.

    • Unusual behaviour during late hours.

  • Report and Share
    If you have footage that may help, report it via:

    • 📞 101 (non-emergency)

    • 🌐 Online reporting through your local police website

  • Include Key Details
    When submitting footage, include:

    • Date and time of recording

    • Location

    • Description of what’s seen

    • Any other relevant context (e.g. recurring incidents)
